A picture of a Vaquita. It’s a dolphin porpoise like animal. Key features include dark rings around its eyes and mouth, a tall dorsal fin, and a gray body with a white belly, and it is known for its elusive nature and unique adaptation to warm, shallow water
Oh no I’ve fallen in love with the Vaquita and we literally just met www.wildlifenomads.com/blog/saving-...

Eclipsed: A View from Orion
NASA ID: art002e009571
art002e009571 (April 6, 2026) - The Moon, backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse, is photographed by NASA’s Orion spacecraft on April 6, 2026, during the Artemis II mission. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA

A first for human eyes to see an eclipse like this from the far side of the moon. Staggering!! #ArtemisII #MoonJoy

Screen cap (from a news report?) showing a crowded street at night with a few scattered people taking pictures.
Centered in the image is a young woman with dark hair wearing a light leather jacket she is in the act of grabbing an automatic rifle that is visible on the left, her chest and lower face illuminated by the tactical light attached to the weapons forestock.
She is Ahn Gwi Ryeong

Which is why I'm always glad to discover photographers who instead of creating lies show us the incredible beauty of reality that surrounds us. I encourage everyone to follow her, her eye and skills are fantastic and she's a Good Person, too!

Happy to do so! It really is. It's painful; no one wants to feel like they've been tricked, no one wants to be accused of trickery when they're making gorgeous art/photography, and it makes folks hesitant to share and hesitant to trust. I'm very delighted to have been wrong! :D

(The "white" aurora is green that's being seen through low-lying clouds and fog that was along the mountain ridge at Vífilfell; the bright light behind the mountain was the rising moon.)

They're not really "white auroras," which don't exist, but these photos are reflections of ice and mists. I deleted my post saying they were AI and unfortunately that deleted her thorough explanation. I really truly hate that we can't trust things anymore.

These are real! I got gently educated when I expressed doubt. Read the comments for the explanation of the white auroras. I’ve never been the best at detecting AI. I appreciate the chance to make a mistake & learn from it. Best of all I get to share something that is true true, and truly beautiful.

Thank you so much for correcting me in a courteous manner! :) I really appreciate the explanation. I’ve seen so many people fall for things & as a writer I’ve had my books scraped. My eye is not the best so I hesitate to say anything. But thought I understood white auroras but we can always learn!

Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

Lasers were a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to play with cats. Computers were also a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to look at pictures of cats. In other words, science was made for cats.

I am not talking about you if: you dislike something and decide you have a different headcanon, write fanfic that retcons or post that, in your opinion, it’s awful. This is fine. But don’t attack the creators or make up lies about them or worse. The world is crappy enough RN without that.
