Aurora Borealis
–25°C in Swedish Lapland. After a long wait, a faint green arc began to rise above the frozen lake Torneträsk.
What followed could not be predicted — only witnessed.

Early morning fog in Venice, with a gondola gliding beneath a stone bridge and distant figures fading into the mist.

Early morning fog in Venice, with a gondola gliding beneath a stone bridge and distant figures fading into the mist.

Venice in winter reveals a different rhythm.

Before the city fills with movement, there are moments of silence — light, water and time slowing down.

Ploumanac'h Lighthouse on the Pink Granite Coast in Brittany, France, standing atop rugged, weathered rocks before sunrise. The long-exposure effect creates a smooth, misty ocean surface, contrasting with the sharp textures of the boulders.

Thank you very much for your comment. I appreciate very much the efforts of African Countries, like Namibia to do their best to preserve the habitat even if it is difficult for them.

Close-up of a cheetah in a wildlife sanctuary, bathed in warm golden light. Its intense amber eyes and fresh traces of a recent meal highlight its wild essence, while the blurred background enhances the depth and beauty of this majestic predator. The cheetah is watching a fly attracted by the meal.

Only around 7,000 wild cheetahs left in the entire world mostly due to human-wildlife conflict. This portrait was taken in a sanctuary which plays a vital role in their conservation. Unfortunately, the reintroduction into the wild is unsuccessful ☹️ #WildlifePhotography #cheetah #Photography #Namibia

A cheetah sits gracefully on red earth, bathed in warm sunlight, with tall golden grasses swaying behind it. Its spotted coat blends harmoniously with the savanna landscape, while its gaze is fixed in the distance. A symbol of speed and elegance, this endangered big cat faces growing conservation challenges.

Running cheetah in Kalahari desert in Namibia. The cheetah, Earth's fastest land animal, reaches speeds up to 120 km/h (75 mph) in short bursts. Built for speed with a lean body, long legs, and a flexible spine, it’s a master of acceleration

A breathtaking aerial view of the Namib Desert near Sossusvlei at sunrise, captured from a hot air balloon. Layers of rugged mountains and rolling dunes stretch into the horizon, bathed in warm golden and purple hues. Soft morning mist lingers in the valleys, enhancing the sense of vastness and solitude in this remote wilderness. The interplay of light and shadow highlights the desert’s raw beauty and timeless nature. The photographer is Christof Muller from www.christofmuller.com

Drifting silently over the Namib Desert in a hot air balloon. The first soft light paints the dunes and mountains in soft hues of gold and purple, revealing the immense vastness. Timeless moments and nature’s serenity. #Namibia #Sossusvlei #photography #sunrise #GoldenHour #landscape #ChristofMuller

Hi! both is amazing. To climb the dunes is best before sunrise (e.g. dune 45 in Sossuvlei). Not only because of less people and less heat also the crépuscule and sunrise is amazing. A balloon ride is breathtaking but expensive.

The silhouettes of Quiver trees (Aloidendron dichotonum) during twilight at dawn before sunrise in Namibia, Mesosaurus Fossil Camp close to Keetmanshoop. Namibia and especially this place is one of my favourite travel destinations. The scenery is breathtaking.
