Kemi Badenoch has accused Keir Starmer of not supporting the initial strikes in Iran for fear of upsetting Muslim voters “whose political loyalties are swayed by conflicts in the Middle East, not the British national interest.”

That’s quite the claim, and pretty inflammatory.

No one I know is mourning Khamenei because he was a mass murderer.

We’re worried because we also know what the Americans and Israelis are: mass murderers.

There was a general strike here last month. There’s genuine support for a change of regime here and all over Iran but you don’t get that with air strikes, all that brings is death.

Look it's very simple, Britain faces an existential threat of socially conservative Muslim voters bringing in Sharia law by voting as a bloc for woke progressives who will turn all our children trans.

Labour politicians like @paulsweeney.bsky.social have done years of good work to push for progressive policies on drug use, only for the party to turn around and do this?!? It's outrageous and rightfully being called out across the board.

Your members are surely outraged that their money is used to pump malicious nonsense to the public at a time of such crisis with the far-right on our doorstep. Drug use is a serious issue that deserves to be treated as such. It is not clickbait for your pathetic attack lines, @labouruk.bsky.social

As a proud serial signer of letters I had forgotten about this one (and I’m told I was the first to sign - so it was a little while ago tbf!). Britain’s electoral system cannot handle the present scale of political fragmentation and could easily turn up a bizarre result.

Time for change!

Don't change rules for migrants already in UK, Labour MPs tell Mahmood Some 35 Labour MPs are among those who have written to the home secretary to raise concerns about the plans.

The Government must stop listening to dodgy advice! Hear the trade unions, the care workers, the migrant support organisations - LISTEN TO YOUR BASE.
The immigration plans must be scrapped.

It doesn't have to be like this!
The Government's immigration plans are the wrong answer to the wrong questions. We need to support our communities and all who live in them. Restoring the right to work for asylum seekers makes sense! Thank you @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social youtube.com/shorts/4bHLN...

Fantastic to see UNISON push back against the horrendous plans to make essential care workers and other migrants more vulnerable. The government's plan is callous and counterproductive.

What began two weeks ago as protests over the state of the economy has now become the most serious threat to Iran’s leaders since 1979.

We stand in full solidarity with the people of Iran as they protest for women’s rights, freedom, and democracy.

Iranians alone can decide their future ✊

My anger at having to stand outside my kid’s school for two hours to ensure none of their classmates, parents, or teachers get kidnapped by my own government is only slightly tempered by the amazing outpouring of support from other parents and especially neighbors who stand against this bullshit.

Retired ICE agent breaks down deadly Minneapolis shooting
Retired ICE agent breaks down deadly Minneapolis shooting YouTube video by CBS Evening News

So a CBS Evening News reporter actually did a pretty solid breakdown of the ICE murder video, talking to a former agent who details all the ways Ross messed up. And yet: It didn’t air on the actual show tonight. CBS did post it to YouTube—and it has nearly 800k views already youtu.be/6ywLEESFDu0?...

The Overshoot What happens to politics, and the country, as net migration collapses?

New post just out:

"The Overshoot"

Net migration is collapsing, and will fall further over the coming years. We could even have net emigration.

What does that mean for the country and the political narrative as we head towards the next election?
