Pulled an older TV that I used to occasionally use as a monitor out of storage and hooked it up to my laptop setup.

I’ve missed having all these screens around me.

I think if I were asked to give advice on what's the most important component to a game's success? Like, what can literally you do, to make your game better?

"Polish."

Polish includes testing. So when I say "Polish" I mean, among other things, "LOTS of testing."

But I also mean....

I've had to stop myself from impulse purchasing that one ReMarkable writing tablet when it gets volleyed up to me through the ad network. Mostly because it's outside my budget, but also because I *know* I prefer physical notebooks.

Mine, and my people’s.” The orc said with some pride, as they gestured to a couple of faint marks. “The battles at Everglen, the wildtides… each one tells a story. Each one tells me something about myself.” “Surely not all of them? Sometimes swords just cut.” She said indignantly, still annoyed at having been caught in her half-truth. The wizard brushed her fingers over the flurry of claw marks that dug into her neck and chest. The healing magic had worked its way through the gashes long ago, but the marks stayed. “Staying out of a blade’s path is a good reminder.” The wizard stood up from the bar, and began heading towards her room. “You have history now. It might not be how you want to remember tonight’s battle, but learn from it all the same. Victories… defeat, all lessons leave scars.” The wizard turned around. “Do they ever stop hurting?” “Some days, less.”

Been thinking about orcs lately.

Usually, I like for these ancestry introductions to just be a single quote or in-universe writing, so this dialogue might get cut down, completely reworked, or moved somewhere else in the book entirely...

but I liked the scene, so here you go:

Standing 5’ 9” tall, Lea has pale freckled skin, and a thin, poised, dancer-like composure. She has cheerful hazel-green eyes, small ears, and a bright smile. When it's not pulled into a loose bun, her medium-length, naturally wavy hair bounces with each step. It’s a deep red color that gives way to an almost hawk-like tawny brown on the inside. Shew wears a scarlet battle dress with red and silver metallic accents all over. Behind Lea are two large red-brown wings that are a cross between hawk-like and predatory and angelic

My current TTRPG character got into a rough fight tonight with a demonic broodmother spider queen (and won) - and as such, she got a new NAMED artifact sword:

A tray of biscuits. They pull apart with warmth.

Half of a biscuit, with a pickle and some pulled chicken in thin red barbecue sauce on top. Sprinkled with cheese.

Made some homemade biscuits; and we’re putting some leftover shredded BBQ chicken on them for dinner tonight.

Core classes: Anointed, Berserker, Duelist (formerly Swashbuckler), Pugilist, Ranger, Rogue (formerly Thief), Sorcerer, Speaker, Warlord, Wizard

Planned Expansion Classes: Astrologer, Cognizyn, Eidontalist

We've been doing some great work modernizing and balancing the core #Underkeeper classes, knocking out the Rogue and Sorcerer today. While these classes are stubs at the moment, we should be able to chart a progression roadmap going forward!

Only two core classes remain! SPEAKER and WARLORD!
