Earthset captured through the Orion spacecraft window at 6:41 p.m. EDT, April 6, 2026, during the Artemis II crew’s flyby of the Moon. A muted blue Earth with bright white clouds sets behind the cratered lunar surface. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region. In the foreground, Ohm crater has terraced edges and a flat floor interrupted by central peaks. Central peaks form in complex craters when the lunar surface, liquefied on impact, splashes upwards during the crater’s formation.

Nice! Will this specifically include milkweed plants? Those the only plants Monarch butterflies lay their eggs on and they're endangered since so much of their habitat has been destroyed.

Specifically the "grid walking" discussed in Section 2, which seems like it might be similar to your use case.

Line drawing on a grid

Barely qualified to say anything here, but "a". I based my grid "ray casting" off of www.redblobgames.com/grids/line-d... and tweaked it to output the cell edge and position where a collision occurs. Other than that it's rare I need to be concerned with anything other than the cell coordinates.

I’ve been reading Shroud by @aptshadow.bsky.social. In all the books of his I’ve read, Mr. Tchaikovsky does Alien Thinking better than anyone else I’ve experienced in the, like 45 years of my sci-fi reading journey.

Cairn - Technical Breakdown - Rock Rendering, Anthony Beyer I was lucky to work on Cairn as Technical Art Director, and now that the game has been released, I thought it might be interesting to share some of its "development secrets". At the beginning, i want...

Just all around great work for Cairn's tech and art team (and the Tech Art Director) - especially considering a wild set of gameplay-imposed constraints.

Just finished the first play through. Incredible!! Everyone who worked on this should be proud for bringing such a great game into the world. After that ending I sure hope this ends up a trilogy! I'd pre-order today.

I think I followed you because your profile says programmer, but I don’t recall if you’ve ever said anything about programming. Norwegian political drama is better anyway
