I think it is underestimated how much Trump’s public threats wedded the Iranian people even to that despicable regime.especially now that they have appeared to have been“delivered from death“by their government. A smart US communication strategy would have created wedges.this may have added decades.

Vance is a charmless freak who nobody likes. He’s not some fucking mastermind waiting in the wings who will rise to power and be more terrible than any of us can imagine. I don’t want him to be president but Trump is the glue and Trump needs to go before anything else.
Senator Kim picked up trash in the US Capitol rotunda left behind by the the rioters on January 6, 2020. He is an exceptional person.

Sent to all US Forest Service employees. They want a theocracy
I hear there’s an opening for Assistant to the Deputy to the Under-Secretary of War Crimes 😬
Put the “laws of war” aside for a moment. This doesn’t even amount to a realistic theory of victory. “We’re going to bomb them until they rise up on their own and overthrow their government” hypothesizes a result that didn’t even happen in WW2.
Good God….
Hegseth Says U.S. Troops Are Fighting for Jesus. The Pope Disagrees. In sharp contrast to the Trump administration's calls for Christian prayers for the war effort, Pope Leo XIV says military domination is "entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ." [photo of Pope Leo with this caption] Pope Leo, during the Holy Thursday Mass in Rome, said the Christian mission had often been "distorted by a desire for domination." Vincenzo Livieri/Reuters
the defense secretary who was plucked off a couch at fox news is arguing about jesus with the fucking POPE in case you’re wondering how things are going
this is the chaplain btw. wonder why he was fired.
Tom,you are a secret MAGA acolyte. A High Priest of fraud, degeneracy, and Russian influence.
"Now that Randy George, along with other senior officers Hegseth has fired or pushed to resign, are about to be civilians, maybe they can step forward and tell their fellow citizens what on earth is going on in Hegseth’s Pentagon."
The headline error shows why many Americans will find leaving NATO acceptable even if they don’t agree with it:they don’t really understand what NATO is and its unique achievement in world history.
Pam Bondi’s portrait was taken down at DOJ and tossed in a trash bin soon after her firing. MS NOW obtained the photo. The move reflects how deeply unpopular she was among career officials. Ken Dilanian & Carol Leonnig scoop www.ms.now/news/pam-bon...
Yes, let’s destroy San Francisco’s top tourist attraction and replace it with an expensive, obsolete prison.
I've heard it said that Trump gets that authoritarian mindset partially from the way his business was run. It was run basically as a small business and that is a very top-down organization.
"Trump" isn't the government of the United States, state, local, and federal. And to perpetuate the myth that he is advances the United States toward the very fascism we are trying to prevent.
Someone needs to tell the American people what's going on in the Pentagon, and it obviously won't be Pete Hegseth, who is at war with America's senior military officers. My latest:

"refusal to protect the strait". It was Trump himself who refused to protect the strait.
Hundreds of people outside the Supreme Court for a rally in support of birthright citizenship, as Trump sits inside for oral arguments over his exec order trying to strip citizenship from some citizens.
The crowd is currently chanting: "Defend the 14th Amendment! It is ours!"

TONIGHT: Trump to address the nation about the war in Iran and says he doesn't need a 'deal' to end the conflict – Crude oil has its largest monthly gain in nearly four decades and U.S. executives warn that the war could trigger a recession – & GOP fears about the midterms grow.
In Scott Bessent's daily ruminations: of course it's fine for Vladimir Putin to ship oil to Cuba—just him, because he's our friend. Also, on second thought, it was really unfair of us to impose sanctions on Russian mobsters who are engaged in narcotics trade, because they have been generous to MAGA.
We are going to see an accelerating tide of these admissions and conversions as the coming weeks and months pass. And the job of those of us who have opposed Trump for years is to resist saying "I told you so," or "you knew better," but rather to say "thank you for seeing the light"...
Tim Miller with a message to Democrats: "This is the moment to go on Fox and say to people, 'you signed up for this—for no new wars, for lower costs. And we're in the stupidest war I could possibly think of, and everything is costing more, and it's about to get worse.'"
"I think that the economic consequences are spiraling out of control and I think that people are way too cavalier about it right now."
Tim Miller and Bill Kristol talk the economic impact of Trump's war.
