I 100% believe that the morale at Maxis is extremely low, and empathise with the developers. This does not, however, soften the blow of the marketplace existing as a model in the first place, and should not distract anyone's attention from the issue at hand. Some of you are too nice.
Hey! Happy to finally pop in! I've been checking in on Tumblr as much as I can, but after seeing headlines about this marketplace, my nosey nature took hold and I had to learn more haha
I've been pretty removed from the community since retiring from making CC, but hearing about all of this has left me feeling grateful for leaving when I did. Because... wow. What a disappointment this franchise has become.
Forever thankful I jumped ship when I did. This game is a fucking *husk* of what it once was.

My thoughts exactly. The TS4 CC landscape has changed an awful lot since 2014, and it seems as though the most attention is directed towards EA or paid creators, even though there are (imo) just as fantastic *or* better free creators out there. I think folks equate $$$ to quality, unfortunately.
