All of Us Should Be Able To Agree With This…..

The President is openly threatening massive escalation in Iran saying “a whole civilization will die tonight.”

Congress needs to vote to put a stop to this. It is a constitutional duty to vote on war powers and both sides should demand this.

If you're in Georgia's 14th Congressional District and you're freaking out. There's something you can actually do. There's a special election tonight. GO NOW. Vote Shawn Harris. Bring the Republican majority down.

Republican majority leaders Thune and Johnson refuse to call back their members for an emergency session in the biggest American crisis of the century.

Minority leaders Schumer and Jeffries should have their members in session right now on the steps of the capitol, if that's what they have to do.

Trump's gerrymandering push wasn't subtle. He wanted Republican House control. Virginia can counter with a voter approved measure. Don't let authoritarianism win. Vote YES on April 21st. #VirginiaVoteYes

Trump is threatening mass death in Iran if he doesn’t get his way. He has spiraled out of control—and Congress has the power to stop him and end this war.

Every Republican lawmaker who refuses to speak out, ducks a question, or votes to continue this war bears responsibility.

Congressman Nathaniel Moran
@RepNateMoran
••• The United States of America must always be prepared to use overwhelming military force when necessary to defend our national
security interests and protect Americans at home and abroad. And, a President should have the latitude to make decisions to that end, but only to the extent that those decisions are also consistent with the inherent authority of a Commander-in-Chief under the U. S. Constitution and the provisions of the War Powers Resolution. To date, I have supported the President's decisions relating to the Iranian conflict because they were consistent with these authorities and the ultimate
goal of protecting national security interests. At the same time, what sets America apart is not only our strength, but how we use it. Our nation has always conducted military operations for just causes and through just and moral means. This must continue in the
future; otherwise we forfeit our legitimacy to lead the world. So, let me be clear: I do not support the destruction of a "whole civilization." That is not who we are, and it is not consistent with the
principles that have long guided America. I have and will continue to support a strong national defense—one that is focused, disciplined, and firmly rooted in protecting the safety and security of the American people. But, how we protect the lives of the
innocent is just as important as how we engage the enemy.
America is great because America is good.

While Trump's assertion that "a whole civilization will die tonight" represents a discrete threat of genocide against Iran, the fact that it comes from a U.S. president, while Congress does nothing, actually represents a broader civilizational collapse — whether he follows through or not.

AOC: “This is a threat of genocide & merits removal from office. The President’s mental faculties are collapsing & cannot be trusted.

To every individual in the President’s chain of command: You have a duty to refuse illegal orders. That includes carrying out this threat”

Donald Trump repeatedly made a promise to the American people: no new wars.

Now, he's threatening to wipe out an entire civilization.

20 hours ago 2209 542 161 19

Donald Trump has lost his mind, and his threats to wipe out the Iranian people should be taken seriously.

He’s out of control and his cabinet and those around him must be loyal to the Constitution and invoke the 25th Amendment. He must be removed.

To the armed forces of the US, remember your oath and the law. Do not comply with orders that constitute war crimes. Civilians and civilian infrastructure are not legitimate targets. DO NOT COMPLY. You are better than the president.

So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Do I have that right?

20 hours ago 26166 7380 602 229

Speaker Johnson, we are calling on you to bring the House back to DC IMMEDIATELY!

The Cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment. But Congress can’t just sit on its hands and wait for that to happen when the President is threatening to commit war crimes TONIGHT.

19 hours ago 26761 6973 1282 336

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.

This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.

The President is threatening genocide and possible use of nuclear weapons against Iran.

It’s clear the President has continued to decline and is not fit to lead. The members of his Cabinet must invoke the 25th Amendment immediately.
