There was a time in the not too distant past when it was frowned upon, and possibly even against ethics rules, for political parties in Alberta to use cabinet ministers titles to sell tickets to partisan fundraising events. No more, I guess.

I'll never forget hearing two men at a nearby café table discussing their about-to-be college-aged kids. They rued the limited options to keep their kids away from non-Christians at the post-secondary level. Why not just put them behind bars at home? That's what they'd aimed to do with their brains.

Well here’s one for all of us to reflect upon. The ONLY way for our species to survive (and right now it’s in doubt) is to stop taking thought only for ourselves. Go ahead and have your nationalism but work on your understanding every single day for all members of our planet. Practice being kind
