Researchers from the Birbal Sahni Institute of Paleosciences, India, have identified a new species: 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘴. Found in Kathmandu, this fossilized chestnut dates back 53,000 years, when the region was a safe zone for plants.
