I dunno. I don’t think Justin Trudeau hurt poor Albertans so badly. I don’t think the separatists have valid reasons. I think they’re motivated by greed, hatred and racism. They like Trump and the US govt. That tells me everything

We had so much snow today and after an afternoon break it’s still coming down. It melts fast during the day. But the evenings and mornings are deadly for walking and driving. It feels like it will never end….
The MAGA movement has been so uniformly and demonstrably harmful –– to world peace, health, science, the economy, safety, education, justice, trust in institutions... pick a topic –– that it is stunning the Alberta UCP remain enthusiastic fans and still walk the same path.

Tomorrow’s weather should be less treacherous- be here if you can!!
25th.

Well someone should help them all experience the rapture they want. ASAP.
We are beyond streets. They need to march on a very specific area en masse. Now.
We sent the wrong people into space. We should have lured a few into it with the promise of gold medals and billions of dollars.
"The image of the all-powerful dictator creates the false impression we can understand fascism by scrutinizing the leader alone. It offers an alibi to nations that tolerated fascist leaders and diverts attention from the persons, groups and institutions that helped him."

I liked Roger in very small doses and liked Nana Mouskouri too. My mom loved James Last so we often heard it around the house. Memories here I’d forgotten.
🌻I often feel the same, but it isn’t real life in my view. My small little core group there warms my heart.
You’re not invisible. ❤️
This did not even occur to me. It’s horrific.
There’s something grounding about being in a room full of people who care. Who are showing up, listening, and doing the work. I had the chance to attend “Imagine a Progressive Future” and spend time with some incredible voices, including Dr. Victoria Bucholtz. I’ve actually known Victoria for years, but this was my first time hearing her speak in this capacity… and I’m officially obsessed. What stuck with me most wasn’t just the conversation itself, but how we hold those conversations, how we stay open, lead with evidence, and keep showing up at a grassroots level, even when it’s hard.

Attended @givevoiceab.bsky.social event and learned from speakers that starting my own little library box of banned books is a great idea. Also learned that there’s a lot of us progressives/non far right control freaks out there and we can work together to make change. It can be little steps.
😂
🤬🤬🤬
This is depressing. They blocked my membership and I suspect many others as well; this method won’t work unless a bunch of quiet people get active.
Hate is on the move and yet groups like B'nai Brith diminish the seriousness of the threat by smearing progressive leaders like Premier Wab Kinew. It is about about creating a false moral shield to protect the crimes in Israel. Meanwhile serious extremists walk among us.

It was fantastic! Great panel and discussion. Thank you!

We proved last night that building community can be pretty simple: an idea, a few emails to speakers, and an invitation.
Just ordinary people who want to see their province move in a better direction. "Imagine a Progressive Future"
You don’t have to do everything—just something. #GiveVoice
We can definitely use more canvassers for Water not Coal! You get to meet so many fantastic people.
Go to www.coalpetition.ca and select the green donate or blue collect signatures buttons!
They also could use donations if you’re able to.
That’s a lot of privilege to unpack.
Because, of course, if one dares to question anything the government claims or does, one is an enemy of the people . . .
I know everyone is tired of petition signing but if we don't have clean water we won't be able to -
Drink our water
Shower
Water crops
Feed livestock
We won't have our health
And nearly all of Alberta's water comes from the Rockies

Wtf are the common values of Albertans?
Excellent piece. This is the UCP legacy; clinging to the basest of people, they encourage hatred, racism, and the removal of social safety mechanisms like healthcare for all or basic human rights for disabled and 2SLGBTQI etc.
A thousand times this.
Hammer them in the Legislature. Push ads out on this topic to the masses. Shout it from the mountain tops.
Everyone hates cheaters.
Danielle Smith’s referendum question asked our blessing to negotiate with other provinces re federal judicial appointments. Now, she’s preempting her own ? & demanding a constitutional amendment to let Alberta’s cabinet to select nominees. Here’s constitutional law expert Pat Paradis’s take. #abpoli
