Yes
Difficult one Matt
We can look subjectively or objectively
Objectively Villa are the best in the PL at identifying value and extraction profit
One off windfalls grap the attention but don't make a system
Credit where it's due our process creates profits that allow us to compete,
yep all included, we're way too harsh on ourselves, but then again that's the Villa way
We all love a moan and he took some stick but Monchi achieved things no-one else did (in a good way)

The third in our Player in Focus series:
Dennis Mortimer | #580 | 1975-1984
He lifted the European Cup at Rotterdam as Villa captain in May 1982. Everything else about his nine years at the club is, in a sense, context for that moment — and the context is extraordinary.

People of Villashire
I'm prepared for the usual wall of social media silence for anything other than anger & controversy.
But let's say we live in a parallel Villaverse where all is lovely.
If you had a choice, what season would you like to see a 7,500-ish word feature on?

The 2 April gave Villa their 1st ever major trophy in 1887, a cup final winner from a £500 signing in 1920, & 6 straight wins under Unai Emery in 2025. Between: broken legs, bent referees, relegation and resurrection. A day of everything it means to support #AVFC.
