Today's #repostyourart prompt is silly! Here's TicTac as a little gnome, just a cute silly little guy.
I've been sick since last week and haven't had the energy to write for my blog. I will have a post up next Monday about my drawing/painting process. Hope you're all doing okay!
💫
Gouache and pencil on aqua board!
I blocked them! I was suspicious it was a scam when they started following me.
I hate that Adobe stuff is all 'industry standard' too.
Thank you for being so dedicated to helping them ❤️
Thank you! I hope you have a great weekend too!
Digital painting of an oxalis plant. The main plant has groups of three leaves which are triangular shaped and a deep purplish-burgundy color. The blooms are five-petaled and white with a blush of pink and yellow centers. There are some pointy green leaves poking up between the oxalis leaves as well, most likely from another plant.
For today's #DrawAFlowerADay, a type of oxalis. We have a small patch of this in the garden. I enjoy the unusual color and shape of the leaves but it also blooms with these sweet flowers as well. I think the pointy green leaves are from another plant but I liked the contrast in the photo I took.
This is beautiful!
Beautiful! ❤️
If you want a print I added this painting to my InPrnt shop: www.inprnt.com/gallery/kate...
A grey lop rabbit holding a pussy willow branch. A song sparrow is standing on a stump singing in the background. Yellow trout lilies are growing around him.
Happy Easter! I finished this painting today of Gilbert, a rescue bunny from Pumpkin's Acres Rabbit Rescue. I painted him in a spring woodland setting with a willow branch, trout lilies and a song sparrow. Watercolours and gouache on paper. 8x8" #easterbunny #rescuerabbit #rabbit #petportrait
Palettes with many colours of paint on a desk.
I have a couple palettes with gouache/watercolours from tubes and a travel set of watercolours on my desk. I do a lot of mixing and have a ceramic plate too. I rehydrate the colours as I use them or if I need the gouache more opaque I grab the tube and get more out. It's chaos but works for me.
Day 4 of #repostyourart is cat/dog.
Here's a portrait of a dog named Qimmik with a wintry northern background I did a few years ago. Watercolours and gouache 8x10"
I included the prompt list quoted below if you want to join in!
A brown rabbit and a grey rabbit cuddled together surrounded by purple hyacinths flowers.
Today's #repostyourart prompt is spring! Here's Laney and Beau in some spring hyacinths blooms. Seems fitting for Easter weekend too.
A white rabbit is shown with text above it saying, "I'm not a toy or an Easter gift!" Additional text below states, "Bunnies are sensitive animals with complex needs, & are often abandoned after Easter." The Animal Justice logo is on the bottom right.
Every year, thousands of bunnies purchased as #Easter gifts are abandoned or surrendered after the excitement wears off. Many won't even survive 1 year 💔
Rabbits are complex individuals & a long-term commitment—not "starter pets". Gift dairy-free chocolate instead 🍫🧸
Happy #kidlitartpostcard day.

Hi! It's #KidLitArtPostcard day! I'm Mireille, a freelance illustrator available for work. 🎨
An adult and child sitting on stools in front of a store window labeled Honey's. They are eating ice cream and a person with a small dog is walking by.
It's #kidlitartpostcard day! I painted an ode to my favourite ice cream place in Toronto (Honey's plant based ice cream ❤️) and also included a Toronto library tote because I love the library. I'm available and looking for illustration projects. www.katedaviesillustration.ca
This is beautiful!
A painting of a cedar waxwing bird on a branch in dappled light. The bird has a pink petal in its beak and there are leaves and pink flowers in the tree.
I painted this with mixed media recently. A cedar waxwing in a blossom tree, it was based on one of my own photos. It looks better if you squint at it. Not sure if I love it but it was fun to make something looser and more experimental than usual. Also I love dappled light.
Image of Animal Day Awareness Calendar for April 2026, There is a URL link for a web page view for easy text to speech. This is an ongoing project of digital sketches featuring a wide variety of animals using the Animal Day Awareness Calendar as a prompt and guide. It's a way for me to take time to explore their anatomy and deepen an understanding of different fauna while also highlighting conservation efforts. ► * days that fall on different days from year to year ► Days highlighted in green, yellow, purple are highly recommended to participate

Coloured pencil drawing of a large brown and white owl perched in the crook of a mossy tree. The owl is looking toward the viewer.
Finished! “Let It Be”. Coloured pencil on hot pressed paper. Based on photos I took of a barred owl in a Toronto ravine. #SciArt #Birds
Thank you :)
Two white rabbits on a wooden kitchen counter with little chefs hats, one rabbit is standing in a casserole dish. The other is sleeping and has taken off his hat. There is a lizard tail in the background coming from behind a red bowl. Also on the counter is a rolling pin, brownie box mix, peanut butter, jam, and a jar with utensils.
A recent portrait I did for a client of their two bunnies on a kitchen counter with chef hats and items with personal meaning. Also included is their lizard hiding in the background. Always happy to paint your animal pals! and my commissions are open. #rabbitportrait #petportrait #watercolour #art
