First of all, I am neither a politician nor an American. Only Americans, who enabled this bullshit through either active or passive compliance, can really do anything about it. And doing something about it implies more than ironic, helpless posting, blaming others. But you’re all fucking complicit.

The problem with you statement is that you speak of the degradation of ‘a’ political party. You externalize this like every American. You own this. Both parties own this. And as long as you do nothing about it, you are complicit. You are an enabler. As every American is.
There is no excuse for downplaying or eliding the insanity of Trump’s morning post. It is the most unhinged public comment by a president in US history and should be reported and remarked upon as such.
This is so unbelievably fucked up.
Honestly, unless you’re out there torch-and-pitchfork style to change this with the urgency it demands, you’re all fucking peacing out. The ability of every American to somehow externalize this travesty is the single biggest problem that needs to be dealt with.
My message to JD Vance: “Go fuck yourself.”
Because America has chosen this.
How can you think one man is responsible for this when untold millions participated actively or passively IN HIS REELECTION GIVEN ALL THAT WAS KNOWN? This is a problem for all Americans. And none deserve to be able to externalize it.
It took me more than a second to realize this wasn’t @nytpitchbot.bsky.social
I cried in the car yesterday and apologized to my partner for pushing for us to move here. He stopped me and said "This is happening here because of the same reasons we wanted to move here. This is the place we should be."
I really don’t understand what the fuck Tim Cook is doing.
Godspeed You Black Emperor tonight in Queretaro. Super fucking stoked. They likely won’t do it, but Mladic would likely make my head explode. 🤯
It’s because you and people like you have the capacity, almost need, to view these aberrations as having tolerable outcomes that we are in the state we are in. You might as well be wearing the MAGA hat.
This is, again, some real banana republic bullshit. Good on Mr. Powell for addressing this in such a manner. Nobody else has shown even the tiniest bit of a spine…
“The strength of our democracy lies in our willingness to confront the threats against it.”
LMAO
And yet you, while in a position that was obligated to do something material about it, chose instead to do nothing at all.
@housetrotter waahhhh i'm an american and i can't do anything about imperialism!! all i can do is eat my corn pop crispies and crispy corn cob pops and popcorn pops and corn syrup crisps and crispy syrupy corn cob crisps and corn cob crispy syrup bombs
We were saved from the worst impulses of the first Trump term by his and his team’s incompetence. Rubio may be many shitty things, but he is not incompetent.
Yes it is on all Americans. We outside of your country cannot do anything about this. It is on you and your elected officials to take this seriously and fucking act on it.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed, the craft here is impeccable.
That performance won me my fantasy championship. 👍
She acknowledged it right away, so let’s fucking move on.
Can we just retroactively say now that yes he did win, ruling him ineligible for 2024?
Madlib - Sound Ancestors (2021)
18. Was drawn to this initially because of the Four Tet angle, but it opened up a whole other dimension of music for me to explore (Madlib’s take on Shades of Blue for instance). It was a shake your ass remedy through difficult moments during the pandemic and remains a favourite now.
Autechre - Sign (2020)
17. Amber through Confield were all masterworks to me. I lost the path with Autechre after that until M4 Lema started to play. I rediscovered my favourite musicians because of this album, which is one of their very best.
Low - Double Negative
Number 16, with apologies for the long break. A truly stunning album that completely reshaped how I experience music. Harsh and beautiful in equal measure, captivating throughout. I’ll have more to say about Low as we progress here.
As expected.
