William’s was unaware they were real until after filming.
He said EVERY studio were buying real skeletons at the time, it was just cost and time efficient.
There was a fascinating documentary on Prime called Cursed Films. Special Effects artist Craig Reardon confirmed that they used real skeleton for Poltergeist. He said the time and cost to model, mold and paint roughly 13 skeletons in the 80’s would have broken the budget.
I would think it could be quite harrowing, even for professional actors. 💀

Werewolf transformation can be tedious and painful, and during the change there is a lot of room for awkwardness and embarrassment. The whole hair to fur change is likely something they'd want skipped over, as well as a few sensor bars over their naughty bits...& avert your eyes for the tail growth!
