This may be giving Trump too much credit.

*I* think it's because he holds her responsible for the Dow no longer being above 50,000.

Although what you say is accurate.

That'll bring down gas prices right away for sure!

Again we see that they think that firing the players and not the coach will solve the strategy problem.

Pretender!So offensive to practicing Christians and Jesus. Matthew 6:5:

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

Planting season is upon us. Pray tell, how will "fully tracking this short-term fluctiation" help us farmers? We can't wait for it to end, then plant, or there will be no crops.

Prepare for your food to be more expensive, and more farms to be lost.

When "I got mine, screw you" became the only remaining guiding principle of the Republican party, it was the last straw for this 4th-generation (now-ex) party member.

I feel that this Heinlein quote captures the issue beautifully.

Remember this, and the Epstein class won't prevail.

The average person sure didn't know that then. We had few ways to "fact check" or "do research" when news coverage elided that.

Many column-inches were devoted to the poor shah, exiled and having cancer simultaneously.

It was easy for most to believe the "they're the bad guys" narrative.

There are Superman fans who love the James Gunn stuff.

There are Superman fans who love the Zack Snyder stuff.

There are people who love both.

But what I think is pretty special is that we all have this guy in common.

Ours certainly can't. And we're also a net exporter. Our overseas customers are patient and loyal, but they are deferring purchases. Causing exports to fall won't help those trade deficits TCF is all hot about.

I'm just imagining the dealers dutifully (pun intended) smuggling it into Canada so they can bring it back and pay their tariffs so they don't get in trouble.

I don't know how to say this nicely, but... if we (GenX/boomers+) keep this up, the young voters aren't going to use mean posts. As Nick Hanauer says, it'll be pitchforks. Real ones. And we'll deserve it.

I don't look forward to it, but I totally understand it.

There's a lot of ink spilled on how Democrats should win back low-info voters (particularly young men) with rightward shifts when "stop being weak and pathetic" is the better tack. The reason AOC gets respect from low-info voters is that she doesn't let people walk all over her the way Schumer does.

The good news for Republicans is that young Americans' experiences were that they were better for the economy than Democrats, something that hadn't been the case in 40 years. All they had to do was, well, not this.

The young guys who want to work and are worried about their current economic situation support Democrats. Young guys who believe women are their adversaries drifted to the Republicans.

This past week, the Chinese learned

1) exactly where Trump's pain points are;

2) how much to squeeze them before he flinches;

and

3) how little America's partners and allies want to help this president.

Highly useful information.
