I agree. But what I was challenging was the implication that most U.S. pickup trucks run on diesel. Perhaps imported U.S. ones do, but most of those produced in the USA run on gasoline/petrol. If they tank up on E85, that puts pressure on yet a different fuel market.

I agree! They’re bad! Please read my response without assuming I’m defending any of it!

You’re saying that like it’s a bad thing, guys.
What could be wrong with that? We should too!
Europe is not built for supersized pickup trucks.

So they should. Horrendous climate and child killing death machines, that are way too large for European streets.
Mainly due to its ag footprint. 90% of Biofuels produced from crops
For All that land, biofuels only generates 4% of transport energy 👀 Much better to use solar that has none of the other serious problems like emissions, biodiversity loss, , food competition, air pollution.

Ag is the biggest contributor to biodiversity loss. The amount of land currently being used to grow biofuel crops in the world today could feed 1.3B people
This is basically the size of Italy. Using solar panels instead would only take 3% of this 👀⚡

"The idea of diverting agriculture production to produce biofuels is a shockingly bad idea even if biofuels had lower emissions than fossil fuels" @33:25
Report on Biofuels: "When you do the research.. they generate 16% more GHG emissions than burning fossil fuels"

Yes. And? I’d argue the mid-sized SUVs are already nearly too large for our streets.

Why would we want gas guzzling killing machines on our roads?
