I have so much respect for Maya's mom for choosing during this difficult time to ask for compassion for the perpetrator's mother as she was a mother trying to do the best for her child with what sounds like very little resources and support. We can all grieve this tragedy without demonizing anyone.

I don't want to give anything to Donald Trump or the US. I don't care how much it hurts us! Easy for me to say as an older retired man. But it is how I feel.
I'm one of those who would choose to leave. I have no desire to live through the chaos that would ensue after separation.
If only 5% of the population were to follow through on choosing to leave, the housing market and valuations would collapse.
