Miss Ruby, whom we knew from a KY Assembly of God, lost her granddaughter, daughter, family farm, husband & job in 3 years She was by her husband's side recently when he died. If u have cash burning a hole in your pocket, this would be a nice place to put it.

No matter how hard I think about NOT getting my hand too close to the cheese grater, I always get my hand too close to the cheese grater.

My daughter is going to attend my seminar at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics today!
I'm so excited, bc I just got a sneak peak into the new book of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist @jodikantor.bsky.social about how people can find and start their life’s work in this nutty and chaotic world! (coming out 4/21 - pre-order here: tinyurl.com/2jjeyjac)
My hairdresser uses cover-ups with transparent panels so clients can see their phones more easily. I took this photo today from under that panel, and I think it’s so evocative! 💇♀️💈
Yes it's common to be blinded by partisanship when it comes to sex abuse.
Looks like Kanakuk's Joe White is saying he is resigning at least partially because of "fallacious attacks in the media."
My reporting in The Dispatch, the Springfield News Leader, and USA Today were heavily corroborated and fact-checked, and I stand by every syllable.

Joe White is letting go of responsibilities at K2. Under his leadership at Kanakuk, hundreds of children were abused. This isn’t the end of an era — a new start requires institutional acknowledgement of wrongdoings and actual repentance. He's still currently CEO of this camp.

Had a wonderful weekend at University of Virginia at the Theological Horizons Scoper Seminar. 🥰
I'm in the south loop, and the Second City people started a new location down here!
I sent this recipe to a friend (after they were a hit at book club last night) and didn't want to waste the gift link.
Also, I added some slightly crushed Chex cereal in there -- you could add Rice Krispies!
Enjoy!

That's an interesting question. I would say I wouldn't have predicted it 9 weeks ago! :). (Show went well!)
Eight weeks ago, I met a neighbor walking her dog and we became friends and she asked me to take an improv class and I did and now I'm walking out the door to perform with my improv troupe in the city of Chicago.
Life comes at ya fast, doesn't it?
So excited about this Theological Horizons event featuring @davidfrenchjag.bsky.social and me at the 2026 Scoper Lecturers in Christian Thought. Join us!
Jennifer Lyell was the highest ranking female in the Southern Baptist Convention.
Until she came forward with abuse against a Baptist leader.
Now she's dead. Here's what happened.

Ever have something big and fun to do and then something happens to mess it all up? And by the time the thing happens, you're too tired/sad/sick/poor/angry/hurt/annoyed to do it the way it should be done?
I think of the first 40 seconds of this a lot:

This Lakers game is nutso.
Though I seriously doubt the filmmakers intended a pro-life message, watching the movie through that lens was pretty fascinating. Also, it's fun that horror movies allow us to grapple with the big issues of life/death, good/evil in ways regular films don't! /END
