View down the central tiled path of a glasshouse. It is one of two restored traditional, kitchen garden glasshouses at the Florence Court estate in Fermanagh. They have been built on the footprints of the original kitchen garden glasshouses, which were lost after the gardens fell into disrepair post-World War 2. There are wooden planters on both sides of the aisle, with plants growing in them. Against a whitewashed brick wall on the right there is also a large pot with a small tree in it, a folded up table and two metal chairs. Blue sky can be seen through the glass windows of the roof. There are four ceiling lamps in metal, industrial style shades running along the glasshouse below the roof. The whole glasshouse is brightly lit by the sun.

William L. Hawkins (American Artist, 1895-1990)
A mountain landscape with dramatic sky. Sunlight held behind dark storm clouds and a washing line cutting diagonally across the foreground, from the centre to the right hand side. The clothes are being blown by the wind, clinging onto the line. Palette is Payne’s grey, olive, raw umber, unbleached titanium and warm white.
My latest painting: oil on birch panel, 70 x 100cm
I wanted to add something that would look out of place in the landscape, yet in harmony with it. A symbol of mundanity clinging on. Almost transient.

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists.
Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.
Oversized ladder stile over wall in brown upland moors overlooking green valleys and blue sky
Stilin' from Bank Holiday Monday. Was officially in THE LAKE DISTRICT but met no one on this lovely bit of upland.

Rolling off the ferry at Holyhead to get to Suffolk for my stepfather’s 80th and my younger brother bets no way I make it without charging. A bets a bet although I maybe hoped it wouldn’t be quite this close. Tbf it’s 50km over the advertised range. (1/2) - stay for the kicker

This is Sprout. He just turned 21, so his doggy retirement home threw him the party of the year. After getting his new ID, Sprout got his first legal pup cup, then he and his friends celebrated with cake, presents, and even a Sprout-themed calendar. 13/10 happy birthday buddy #SeniorPupSaturday
