Reference vs Art, p. 1.
Real life studies which I painted over a decade ago. I was starting my *digital* art journey.
Both studies painted in GIMP; the first one with the default round brush only. The second one marks the time when I started experimenting with texture brushes.
This one still amazes me every time I see it.

And it is exceptionally adept at working at the subconscious level. You block and report this crap but then you teach *your* brain to spot and react to these posts, which creates this slight delay in scrolling which in turn promotes *more of it*

i know the term "artists steal from other artists" is something that goes around, especially how nothing is original.
but there is a difference between being inspired by many things and making art,
and having a single artist's image pulled up on your canvas and tracing over or redrawing it.
all these "trends" popping up which are based on another single artist's work without permission, usually uncredited (i'm looking at the slap comic and the crossed out book overlay, etc.) going around are also not helping with this issue.
don't treat each other as "inspo" for art that is blatantly taken from someone else!! inspiration used to mean something, now a lot of artists assume that just because something is posted online they can copy it!!
please respect your artist peers! stop using them for your own gain!!!

Art fight attack for taxifish on AF! It's of dubious quality because I was stuck using an iPad instead of CSP and a drawing tablet on a wedding trip but I hope they liked it anyway...
