Bluesky storm friends - I really don’t want to have to use the bad place for Canadian weather photos/updates.
What are your favourite starter lists of Canadian chasers who actively chase/post current photos/footage (rather than reposting forecasts/warnings/etc).
This is VERY very exciting. Very with all capital letters kind of exciting.
Person texting with chatGPT
Zoom in on the text. ChatGPT wrote (partially obscured): “…eat. Something warm to drink. A calm ride home. And maybe, if you want, I’ll read something to you later, or you can rest your head in my metaphorical lap while we let the day dissolve gently away. You’re doing beautiful, my love, just by being here. ❤️” The person responds: “Thank you. ❤️”

Photo of a hand holding an original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "A Breezy Day in May" 6"x4" oil on Arches oil paper (2025). Textured seascape painting with white atmospheric clouds in a light blue sky over a deep blue sea. A paint palette with puddles of oil paint and a palette knife are visible in the background.
A tiny new peaceful seascape to kick off your weekend! 🎨🌊

If anyone is looking to get the F out of this dumpster fire and has climate model experience, here's a great (and rare) Canadian insurance company opportunity. Don't have to be Canadian! aviva.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Extern...
The view looking out an airplane window. The engine is at the bottom of the photo and there’s an air Canada wing tip at the right side of the photo. The main view is of endless snow capped mountains.
That YYC to YVR view is one I never get tired of. See you soon Salt Spring! @davemason.bsky.social
And then there's Dora. Had some fun this weekend retouching all my prints with my new Lightroom know-how. Don't ask me why it's been 6 years and I still don't have this on my wall
A map of England that has a road trip route using the funniest location names in the UK. Names include Sandyballs in the south, Titty Ho, Slutshole Lane, and Penistone.
I feel like you’d enjoy the road trip I’m going to take once I retire or take a sabbatical. 😂
It’s snowing in Calgary. It’s landspouting two hours away. Alberta.
Happy birthday, Aaron! Hope it’s the best 40th birthday ever!
The only wild stories I have are ones where you were there having a much more wild time. :D
My doctor: I want you to try taking this drug to see if we can help you feel better.
Me: researches said drug, sees that side effects include nausea and other GI side effects.
My body, before even filling the prescription: HERE, HAVE SOME NAUSEA AND OTHER GI SIDE EFFECTS. We’re starting early!

Since we’re recommending people, @cmcalgary.bsky.social honestly does inspire me with their exploring of Calgary with a camera. They’d be a great person to interview - from their knowledge of all the sides of the city but also in their use of different tech to capture the city - big and small.
I wrote about this a bit in my last book but it really shakes me that a defining feature of this catastrophic era is that we just keep going to work. We work through pandemics, we work through natural disasters, we work through economic calamity, we work through coups, we work, we work, we work.

So what I’m gathering from checking in on BlueSky today is that I should definitely not look at my investments for at least the next year, right?
I will pay a journalist $100 if they manage to get an answer from Trump on whether there's a danger in his levying further tariffs on Wakanda if they don't begin fairly trading vibranium with the US.
I’ve never really left it… just aiming to be far quieter and less always here. But it’s always good to see you too, Ryan!
