As a librarian, I’m concerned about nature, environment and of course the Iranian people. However, we are also witnessing the death of valuable knowledge.

As of April 2026, 56+ Iranian sites are damaged. UNESCO verifies hits on Golestan Palace (Tehran) & Isfahan’s 17th-century Chehel Sotoun & Masjed-e Jāme. Over 105,000 civilian buildings, 763 schools, & 55 libraries are affected. These acts violate the 1954 Hague Convention on cultural property.
