A Japanese ad for a Game Boy Pocket with a classy feel as if it's aimed at professionals with a visible keyboard in the photo of two, silver and gold, and a fountain pen and mug.
The Game Boy Light - A tougher console that can be played for longer periods of time thanks to that all-important backlight!
Such a sleek design, and as with a GB Pocket ad I shared a while back, the copy promotes it as one for adults because of the less toy-like design.
Motion captured for a grand CGI ball. A glimpse behind the scenes at the mocap dancers used to bring such fluidity to Squall and Rinoa's iconic dance scene in Final Fantasy VIII.

The cover of OG Mario is Missing, with a cartoonish illustration of Luigi holding up a lantern in a castle, facing the wrong direction as Mario gets bowsernapped through a dungeon door.
The cover of Mario is Missing! CD-ROM Deluxe. Luigi and Yoshi run through a snowy mountain landscape toward Bowser who has Mario by the arms and pulling him over the parapet of his fort.
Lose a Mario once, shame on you.
Lose a Mario twice, this time in an even more extravagant fashion, shame on me.
"Too bad, Luigi. Yer princess is in another castle, heh he hehā¦"

Cheers for the recommendation! We've already read a little of the manga, which led us to checking out the series. But will def be reading the rest of it.
Ahem *up to episode four of ;w;
A snap of the opening with the two moe blob protags in their uniforms sat on a ladder like stone structure
We're up to episode of episode four of Girls' Last Tour. Already love this series so much <3
A scan of a chart with PC-98 artwork of various female characters of the listed races, each with their own particular visual flair, and all wearing pretty practical armour and clothing without being fan-servicey. A description and vibe for each one is listed below each class.
HummingBirdSoft's visual class guide for its Record of Lodoss War game for PC-9801. What will a human, a half-elf, and an elf look like as a variety of classes, including shaman, priest, warrior, and knight?
It's World Health Day, so post some doctors/nurses!
Yeah, I feel the same way. It's a them problem, not me/us.
I can hear the music and see the logo spinning around now. And echoes of woo, we get to watch telly for a lesson excitement (and relief).
Yeah! <3
A pixel artwork of two anime business ladies in profile, one with purple hair caught in a pony tail and the other with ginger floof, wearing blouses, skirts, and jacket. They're leaning in over a restaurant/diner booth table in conversation, discussing how to pass on company secrets to the local cyber knights mercenary force.

A Thievius Racoonus in any language - Sly Cooper!
One of my favourite action-platformer series. š And I especially dig the dramatic energy of the NTSC-J cover.
Oh wow! Glad to have brought back some memories of them.
Me too, Bap. :( Gonna continue to spread joy as much as I can until we see what happens. Been a joy to know you and so many others on Bluesky.

Ah, yes it is.
It's sooo good š
Aww š
Ohhh you do š The first one is great, but they really do something special in Sly 2 and 3.
It's my overall favourite PS2 platformer series. Though Jak 1 alone is my favourite one overall.

We miss you, Sly š Steal our hearts away again in a new game.
A snap of a headline, Doom Toos, with 'Ten first person action games are fighting for your attention. Which will earn your undying ammunition'
It's a part of wider feature on games following in DOOM's footdsteps, but even then at the start of the feature, the headline calls them First-Person Action Games. Variations before than and 'Doom clone' overshadowed its use for years to come.
This is something I've spoken about in the past. When FPS was coined is a little unclear, and nor was it adopted fully for years after it first appeared.
But, the earliest mention of First Person Shooter I've found has been in CGW in 1994. Specifically talking about Descent.
