The Wood Ducks were back today! They stayed somewhat hidden, but I managed to get a photo of the male this time.🪶

We had Wood Ducks on our pond today. The male was camera shy, but the female posed nicely for me. I didn't realize they had some beautiful rainbow colored feathers on their backs. If you zoom in, you can see them! 🪶

The ducks have been hanging out at our pond recently. We are hoping to see ducklings in a month or two. 🪶

A handsome Red Winged Blackbird made a visit to our backyard today. 🪶

Mr. and Mrs. Duck made a visit to our pond today.🪶

It was dark and dreary today, but the birds were out and very busy! Dark Eyed Junco and Nuthatch. 🪶

It was very cold this morning (21 F). The good news was that the sun was out! I found a few very "cool" birds to take photos of while the sun was still low in the sky!🪶

A Downy Woodpecker (male) visited the bird feeder this morning.

On Friday, January 24th, I'll be playing with the Sophisticated Swing Big Band at the Redmond Senior and Community Center for a dance, from 1 pm until 3 pm. Great music in a great venue!
