that said nastashya and allenby were fucking awesome. I especially liked that while nastashya had good chemistry with argo, the show never went out of its way to imply that they were going to end up in a romantic relationship, since I liked them better as close friends than love interests

the funniest thing happened to me earlier today while talking to my friend abt G Gundam
we were discussing the nature of the title "The King of Hearts" and such, as you do, and this guy next to us at the hobby shop thought we were talking about Kingdom Hearts and tried to join in. I felt SO bad
I was playing up the creature being a little guy more than its resemblance to her since it was more relevant to getting the vibes across, yea
in the trailer it moves around and such so it's definitely alive
definitely seem to be leaning into "this adult with the face of an anime girl can evaporate dimensions" which is kind of existentially terrifying
this isn't me trying to """fix""" her design or w/e I just think that it's funny to note just how big her damn eyes are
definitely feels like an intentional move from the devs to make her feel more "otherworldly" and a bit more anime, but for real she's got huge peepers and it's kinda unnerving

the citizens all sound and act kinda like sad lost puppies and while that's definitely a symptom of valve trying to make the tone lighter and less depressing than the initial concepts, it also comes off as incredibly bleak if you look at it holistically
like imagine being 10 when the combine shows up, and after Every Military Force On Earth unanimously surrenders within 7 hours, you grow up hearing stories and folk tales of a guy in an orange hazard suit who could stand up to these invaders singlehandedly. then one day he shows up.
i am once again thinking about how john lowrie's vocal performance as the half life 2 citizens, while funny, also comes off as insanely tragic when you remember that they're all 20-30 somethings who have grown up under the combine's rule with their only shred of hope being a guy from new mexico
g gundam is a really funny show because Schwarz Bruder is just this awesome aura farming german ninja guy who's the only character taking the story fully seriously and his presence in the show so far is him just telling domon to lock the fuck in

Between him and his gundam stand his crew of four smokin' hot gals in extremely gay tank tops and combat slacks, standing close to each other like a pride of lionesses or perhaps a pack of wolves. Chibodee looks kind of cute and harmless compared to the girls' imposing expressions, like a house cat next to a group of panthers.
chibodee crocket's gundam crew are all just a lesbian polycule and he's their complementary grungler

many mega man enemy designs are inspired by the original gundam/gundam zeta and their contemporary media, which I was aware of prior to watching gundam but I wasn't aware of just how deep it went
as for #2, I haven't played Zero so idk, but I love the original series from '79 quite a bit.
