![What does UD stand for? : publicity booklet : United Dairies Ltd. : nd [c.1955] : cover. The booklet is undated and uncredited but the style is mid-1950s and must be prior to the 1959 merger. It has the feel of a publicity item potentially aimed at school projects, given the description of the product range, and this copy survives in a school project collection. It is very typical of the sort of thing I, as a '60s school pupil, used to write off to companies for! The cover does indeed show a teacher in a turquoise striped jacket pointed to the words "What does UD stand for? on a chalkboard and a puzzled pupil with pigtails and a red top looking up.
