Frame 1: Dwyn descends the stairs into her basement home, saying over her shoulder to Star Boy, “I'll need to make them more stable first. The important part right now is that the theory works.” Frame 2: Inside, putting the device on a table, Dwyn says to Star Boy, “I still wish there was a way to outright store the energy you produce. For now, direct conversion will have to be enough.” Frame 3: Star Boy goes to the kitchen and starts eating from a bowl of apples. “Are you feeling more tired than usual?” Dwyn asks from off screen. “No,” Star Boy replies, “Just hungrier than usual.” Frame 4: “You eat a lot of apples,” Dwyn says, joining Star Boy in the kitchen. “Do you actually need the nutrients from them?” “I don't know. Why?” “Just curious.” Frame 5: “I've been wondering what would happen if you ate a rock,” Dwyn says, proffering a rock. “... A rock?” Star Boy asks. “Yes,” Dwyn says. “Would it incinerate? Would it sustain you longer? Would it have no impact?” Frame 6: “I guess there's no harm in trying,” Star boy says, taking the rock while Dwyn watches with interest. Frame 7: Star Boy slowly opens his mouth to eat the rock while Dwyn continues to watch. Frame 8: Star Boy stares cross-eyed in the general direction of his stomach, which gurgles. “Well?” Dwyn asks, still watching with interest.

First graft completed of apple scion onto MM106 apple rootstock. Forgot to get the plasters handy though... Ouch.
And ... we're off..! One down, 6 to go.💚 Grafting scions from our unique DNA tested "Cherry Melville" onto MM106 rootstocks. We'll grow these on in BIG pots to start with. There's a strong community "keep it local" attitude in the village so hope to get some planted around. 👌
