Ahhhh, I get it. Kind of. I get what I'm supposed to get from this little flash of media from within the world of the film. Earlier, there was something about strings on what looked like a Shark Tank stage, and I didn't know wtf that was, really, but this means mind-control and zombie shit.
They're talking about #cordyceps on the television, just like in #LastOfUs, so that's a big hint into what's at work here, thematically.
