though Starshine and her aren't together anymore, Star couldn't help but comfort her a bit since she knows how much it takes to make her cry. she holds a lot of resentment for Aria and how poorly she's treated her since they broke up but she knows some of that treatment comes from the hurt she feels for her father to die defending the kingdom. he was a general and died honorably, but that means nothing to the daughter he left behind.
