holes ended up being very hard on performance, so i'm going with a tile based approach. Which will also could open up fun opportunities like caves.
squidgod's LDtk tutorial was very helpful. Really fun building a level in another piece of software

Made a replay function! Puzzle mode is pretty stable so far but still some edge case bugs where a block will do weird things sometimes. But now I can save replays on the fly via a dev menu. Really stoked about this! wasn't too long ago I didn't know any programming, but getting better!

In Post Hero 2, double tapping a d-pad button makes the mailman auto-walk in that direction, and very quickly. This is in no way related to negative feedback I may have received about a different game. #playdate

Started building the audio system for the #Playdate prototype. Added event based background sounds, like the underwater effect. There's also a randomized music loop (turned off in this video) that plays tracks occasionally, with some silence in between. It's configured per level at the moment.
