Problem is, there is too much business speak - that is what the writers really needed to attack

(1/3) #Simpsons S3E19: "Dog of Death." A little mixed on this one, but overall positive. The concept is very relatable; I can't think of many other shows that would take this kind of direction with a "pet needs an operation" story. That SLH's recovery is not a happy ending is so fascinating.

I thought this was dull and predictable and the Nelson B story felt flimsy too. A forgettable episode.

(1/2) #Simpsons S3E18: "Separate Vocations." Pretty weak. I don't find the "what if Bart was an achiever and Lisa was a slacker" question very interesting and they don't do anything that good with it. It's nice that the stories tie together, I suppose, but that's kinda the only way it can resolve.
