One of the coolest big-screen cops of all time was Steve McQueen's Bullitt in 1968; the movie co-starred Jacqueline Bisset. Bullitt's famous car chase up and down the streets of San Francisco is considered one of the best in silver-screen history. Bullitt's French Toast 1 egg per slice of bread Splash of milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 6 to 8 slices thickly sliced sandwich bread (Texas toast) Confectioners' sugar Maple syrup Whip and mix together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Dip the bread slices into the mixture and place into a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Fry the bread until the bottom side is golden brown, and flip over to brown the other side. Slice the toast into triangular halves; sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serving Suggestion: Serve with maple syrup and slices of crisp bacon on the side. Makes 2 servings. You want a tough guy? Steve McQueen was an actual tough guy. I like French toast too because it’s a terrific mix of savory and sweet. With the eggs you get some protein, so it’s substantial but feels luxurious. (Pro tip: go all the way savory with some spinach and brown gravy, etc). #veg
