when collecting seashells it doesn't count if you buy it in a store even if it's not pretty or particularly interesting it's not special like an unbroken sand dollar pulled from the tide or a hermit crab's former cottage tidepools hide treasures if you're willing to look
I had to leave a lot behind when I moved halfway across the country, including my seashells that I spent a lifetime collecting. Not much fits in a 2-door hatchback.
