Ashley looked at a shelf that had jars stacked on them, they were filled with eyeballs, insects, toad legs and generally not very nice things.
“Why would you keep this stuff?” he asked her.
“For my potions.”
“What you some kinda witch?” he asked her as he poked at one jar that looked like something was living inside.
“A witch? That isn't very nice.”
Ashley walked over to the cauldron and looked at it bubbling away, an eyeball sprung to the surface, making him stutter backwards.
“What is that?” he asked.
“It's my stock,” she answered.
“For what eyeball soup?”
He turned and looked at the grinning old woman, who licked her lips.
“No two-foot pie!”
“What pie?” he answered, before he realised what was going on. “Hold on! You mean me, don't you?”
A shrill scream echoed out as she charged at him, with a kitchen knife in hand, she missed him as he dived over her table knocking plates and other things off. He was one side, she the other if he went right, she mirrored him.
“Why does everyone want to eat me? Can't we just talk about this?” he asked.
“NO!” she answered.
“But I saved your life!”
“Thank you but I'm hungry!”
Another lunge saw the knife sticking into the table, Ashley had to act fast, he grabbed a pan and whacked her in the face with it. She yelped in pain.
“Sorry I didn't mean to hurt you,” he apologised.
Little old cottages in the middle of a forest can be rather stuffy, especially when filled with peculiar jars...
Oh and a giant cauldron with strange objects floating inside...
