Followed you there 👍
The luminous fabric against the deep shadows, the geometry of the window frame and that single ray of light that enticed me to capture this image..

Curtains drawn back to reveal weathered wooden boards, a sliver of sunlight cutting across the floor, and a darkness that seems to hold a hundred untold stories.
Black and white felt like the only right choice here. Stripping away colour lets the contrast do the talking.
Light Through Time
There’s something quietly haunting about the way light finds its way through old windows. This scene from an old cabin feels less like a photograph and the more like a memory.
Morning Light
The first light of day transforms a quiet brook into a ribbon of colour weaving its way between the moss-covered stones.

Beautiful I shoot both the 139 and 137. Wonderful cameras!
Thanks Eddie!! I appreciate the repost as well 👍
Change of perspective today. When my mojo slows down, I reach for something odd, fun, and a little impractical. The fisheye did the trick. Amazing what happens when you look at the familiar from a completely different angle.

That was a part of my selection criteria. When I shoot my last frame on this planet my image library remains fully accessible using any image editor.
That was the early version. The latest versions have improved significantly.
It’s about bloody time. For decades he’s been saying it’s not possible. Now he’s got competition that is leaving him in the dust. You couldn’t pay me to go back to NLP. FilmLab is wonderful!
That was an issue for me too. I used Negative Lab Pro which is stuck in the dark ages. I now use Film Lab which has been wonderful and works completely independent of any editor.
How has it been, what decisions did I make? And would I do anything different?
I’ve written about the whole journey, the migration, and the alternatives worth exploring.

After decades in Adobe’s ecosystem with Lightroom and Photoshop, I finally reached a breaking point. Rising subscription costs, a fragile catalogue, and a crash that nearly wiped out my photographic history pushed me to rethink everything.
I pulled the plug on Adobe two years ago.

No Parking
Out for a sunny walk in the village, I came across what looked like a blatant violation outside the Town Hall. One gentleman fully committed to occupying the no‑parking zone, stretched out with zero indication of moving anytime soon.
