When people say UBI won’t work because people won’t be incentivized to work I call BS.

I renovate homes and I love it. Even if I had tons of money going into my bank account, and I didn’t have to lift a finger for it, I would still want to do this work. I’d just do it for free.

The war in Iran is the direct result of capitalism. So are billionaires and the child trafficking they do. So is unemployment and the supressed minimum wage. Climate change? Yep. AI taking over? Yep. We need UBI yesterday, and with the rate of change of the world there is no 'too soon'.

Now that lead in our environment has been significantly reduced, the two remaining major contributors to crime are:

1) Excessive wealth.
2) Poverty.

A Universal Basic Income (UBI) will go a long way in mitigating these harms.

pro tip for AI enthusiasts who want people to stop being mean to them: maybe stop talking about how it's going to take everybody's jobs all the time

(and if you really do believe that, then 1. consider how that'll come off to the people whose jobs will be lost and 2. become a UBI stan)

One way it can come from IS a tax on wealth extraction from the local resources. Eg oil reserve wealth extraction is taxed
