🤝 This project connects science, management, and international cooperation to protect a species that depends on multiple ecosystems along its migratory route.
📡 In addition, a system of receiving antennas has been installed to detect birds marked in other regions of Europe, helping to better understand their migratory routes and the importance of Doñana within this international network of wetlands.
🔬 Within ICTS-Doñana, researchers study the species’ passage during migration through field surveys and bird-ringing stations that help us better understand its presence and how it uses different habitats.
