Welp, ready as I'll ever be for today o7
Last year, chat put up 100 subs and forced me to bake a pie for them on stream. So I'm challenging them to do 20% better this time.
Catch me playing Minecraft *literally for the first time* today for the Special Event.

A twitch announcement for streamer FoxWithTacos showing off the announcement style raid message
Are your raid messages in a Twitch announcement ? They should be.
- They are easier to copy (no reply icon)
- They stand out (easy for chat to find)
Just stick a 1s delay between the two so your bot announces them right.
(s/o to nanosoups where I originally saw it & forgot to copy a screenshot)
Sat down with Claude & worktrees this weekend, and after fixing a half dozen bugs, this isn’t it.
Every dev tool (including Claude) fucks up worktrees. Everything from dev server management to diff reviews on worktrees is a trash fire.
It’s reflog all over again.
It’s very weird to be a tech founder adjacent to the hype cycle. I find myself gut checking my assumptions a lot more.
Here's the link to the VCTK corpus in case you too would like to see what's in it firsthand.
datashare.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283...
IDK who needs to hear this, but the original WaveNet TTS trained on ~100 English speakers' audio and Google never paid those people a nickel.
The original corpus was part of a research project, and the data was made available under a license that allowed commercial use without additional payment.
In all seriousness, this is awesome. One more reason to never open that other site again.
And the K-Pop corner of Bluesky rejoiced. All... 27 of us.
Please, I'm begging you. Don't make a "team of AI agents" that do your outbound sales.
Like, give a shit. At least a little.

In building Taskless’ skills system, we went back and forth a few times on how the skills are updated and maintained.
Since we already planned a CLI to do signature checking for non-AST stuff, it just made sense to also ship the ability to self-install skills if (and only if) you want them.
👀 the whale ooooOooooOOOOooooo

I had to switch from CSV to a questionable MySQL syntax parser, but the output JSON is easy enough to verify. Let's just hope a KPop group doesn't name themselves ")," any time soon.
The KPop Bias Labeler (@bias.is) is now humming along again. I'll let the owner of Soridata tell the story if they want to, but we rely on (and I happily support) the passionate people maintaining a DB of every group, every solo, and every comeback.
A tally of votes, the first digit in the two digit numbers is cut off intentionally. The screenshot shows four possible theme colors, MS-DOS, Q-Basic, Matcha & Strawberry, and Teal & Orange. Chat members are aware the matcha/strawberry and the teal/orange are close, and this image paints the picture as significantly closer than they thought.
In case anyone from my chat was wondering how the "chat picks my next IDE color" poll is going after 15 rounds...
(yes, they're all two digit numbers, no I won't tell you what the first number is)
Over the past week, I refactored Taskless so that our templates, types, and shared libraries can live separately. But making "Taskless work for Taskless" now means I need to test the onboarding shell script. I have no clue how yet...
See ya 2p today (Feb 19) for the sillies

So many open source and community servers run on Discord.
And while I like those communities, I don’t “give Discord my legal documents” like them.

Turning “1s in chat” into a live poll widget
This is extra frustrating because BANG BANG just dropped and you literally cannot find other IVE fans on this platform without structured metadata or a taxonomy
Which brings me back to @bias.is … is it useful? Is it actually solving problems? I pay a trivial amount to Render every month to host the SQLite data in disk, but it’s not helping discovery.
But labelers are not user friendly, even with the DM interface I added on.
I’ve got no good answers here. This is the only platform that prioritizes chronology- I want to talk about what’s happening *now*
But it’s also impossible to find the people to talk about it with unless your topic is the topic of the day.
Originally, the goal was to use @bias.is to help with discovery in the atmosphere. Try and search for “IVE” right now and it’s hard to find the community. You’ll see mostly “I’ve” typos. The average person isn’t going to build, find, or add a custom feed.
I’m a bit stuck on what to do about @bias.is
Soridata, the data source critical to staying on top of newly debuted groups has shut down because of unending harassment.
Bluesky labelers are slowly changing their roles, and it’s unclear what the answer will be for “bonus structured metadata”.
