@birchtree.me really love your Cleanshot update videos, would you be open to do similar videos for Typefully updates?

I have templates for invoicing workflows and for packing under various configurations based on the length of the stay and destination.

Much better than URL schemes because it allows you to quickly edit the templates from within Things.

Things tip for easy task templates:

Have a templates project and put task templates in there, then just create a shortcut that duplicates that task and puts it in Today.

I wonder if AI tools will increase engineering hires instead of reducing them, at least in the short term!

The increased leverage AI tools provide to individual contributors is so significant that they are much more valuable. Many companies might accelerate hiring because of this.

Same. Singapore too. But difficult to know if it’s a general trend or our respective bubbles.

In 2025, I want to read more books and scroll less on social media.

For this reason, I set up a streak to read at least 20 pages per day and uninstalled social media from my phone.

Also experimenting with reparable streaks: if I don't manage to read 20 pages today, I can fix it by reading 40 tmrw.

Speed matters, but hard to prioritize for an existing product.

Thought of making Typefully local first many times, but always got pushback from the team because of the time investment it would require.

So now I am back on Arc, probably the best browser around, but the Browser Company declared they will no longer invest in it, so it's just a matter of time before this one becomes terrible too.

Browsers are not in a good place right now.

Safari feels sluggish and frequently has compatibility issues with websites; plus, their 1Password integration seems broken.

Chrome fails on me about 5% of the time when I activate it, as if it fails to load my cookies and user data and automatically resets my profile and logins.

This past month, I tried going back to Chrome and Safari for one week each, and the situation was tragic.

The situation is not good 🧵

I like how you keep pushing this every time you get the chance! We will eventually do this.

With the fragmentation of social media we are experiencing, I think this feature makes more sense than ever.
