That look on your graduate students face when you tell them to look at your phd thesis chapter #10 starting on p.339.

We celebrated all of our undergraduate students with a mini-conference full of great presentations and a steak dinner and awards afterward.

Amazing work everyone! Graduation is coming close now.

Just watched Project Hail Mary and it was sooper good. Don’t recommend having a dad nap through the first 20 minutes but otherwise five thumbs up.👍

It seems crazy to pay $45 for pad thai at a restaurant when I can buy $74 for groceries to make it at home.

I don't think there are many federal agencies that are not getting gutted--env canada, ag canada, CFIA. The list goes on and it is very focused on getting rid of science and scientists.

Many years ago, my son Evan used to dress up like me (plaid shirt mandatory) and come into my classroom and be the scorekeeper for the Jeopardy game I made as review for my third year usask course. Now 14 years later he's on campus as a second year student himself and six foot four.

The whole thing about Kristi Noem's husband that should be mentioned is that to quote Seinfeld "not that there's anything wrong with that". Having a kink is fine by me-let your freak flag fly as long as you aren't hurting anyone. It's the irony of her being such a hypocrite and hideous sub-human.

Anyone know where I can get a very large polyester or nylon tarp, like at least 30'x30' or buy a roll of the material to make my own?

How anybody can look at this image and think there are better options out there is entirely beyond me.

Stop using acronyms for things that conservative media wants us to hate.

Don't say DRIPA. Say Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People's Act

Don't say SOGI. It's age-appropriate Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity education

And don't say EDI. It's equity, diversity and inclusivity

This is a non-issue for me personally and I will only check the mail every couple of weeks as pretty much everything is online now for bills etc, but I would certainly support having my tax dollars keep delivery for those that do need it.

Indeed. Three of my phd students are fully NSERC funded right now and its been great.

These NSERCs are so prestigous and the levels have gone up quite a bit. Shifting to funding only one year is very disappointing but my department covers the second year for all Tricouncil award winners so that is a game-changer.
