Heading for a fall, poor sod. Brian hasnβt actually changed his will, and will put it off until 1) itβs too late: he bites the biscuit OR 2) he changes his mind. Adam will then lose his mind. #TheArchers

We love you right here!
Very clever! And a bit surprising/frustrating for you at times, I bet.

Image of somebody who looks a lot like a nut, with brown mottling on the carapace, a fringe of short legs around the perimeter, and a tuft of mid-length swimming legs on one end.
βespecially interested in the Devonian lately. All that new life on land. Now I get to learn about ponds, too. Such fun!

Ostracods are the most ancient known form of microfauna. The earliest freshwater ostracods came from coal-forming swamps, ponds, and streams of early Pennsylvanian age. The body is enclosed in aβ 2/4
How exciting! Thanks! Now that I realise they're in there I wonder if I should put something more interesting in for them to feed on. There's just a tiny bit of plant life and those three fairy shrimp and yet these have all managed to survive for months. I'm also very excited about having read this:
!!! Ostracods! Of course. Let me look. Thank you!
"Subspace Rhapsody.β I am a secret fan of musicals, and I have been enjoying the songs. This one especially moved me, though it probably wouldn't move you in the same way if you didn't know the series. Still, it's lovely.

I have been exploring the later Star Trek series and by far the one I like the most is Strange New Worlds. It is the most like the old series and has some very strong moments in it, combining humour and whimsy with some pretty dark and thoughtful episodes. A surprise was the musical ep, 1/2 π
Any ideas, @dejaysus.bsky.social ? I was actually thinking of asking you.

Thank you!
we canβt expect to run the whole way at the same speed. There will be days of apathy, of boredom, of numbness. And on those days we need to make sure we stay awake and alert. So long as we engage our brains, thereβs a sweetness even in the most trivial distraction that can awaken our sleeping hearts
There are extremely small β maybe 1 mm long? β ovoid to round creatures which appear to have legs beneath them (it's hard to tell), with a back that is something like a rorschach inkblot test. There are an awful lot of them. They swim quickly around, hanging out mostly around the walls of the bowl.π
I am amazed at how little information I am getting through my online searches about the tiny tiny tiny creatures living in a bowl of water that I scooped out of the pond last fall so that I would have the jump on the duckweed for my water plants this spring. There are fairy shrimp, but alsoβ 1/2 π
Wonderful!
A doll of a vodoun practitioner holding feathers stands next to a sculpture of skulls and flowers in front of a window looking on to a lawn.
A child holding a toy chickadee looks out from a computer screen.
A white and orange cat inspects a box.
A hand holds a camera at a mirror, and all is reflected in a second mirror. Everything is yellow and blurry and there is light flare above the lens.
A Brigitβs cross over a unified Buddhist flag hanging in interior doorway. Inside the room beyond, prayer flags hang from the ceiling.
Oh, fabulous.
Does seem what we are being set up for. #TheArchers
*Might*?
Yeah!!!
Yeah, that scene was *weird*.
