Transition periods always make me very anxious in general and this is no exception. I'm honestly looking forward to when the routine of it kicks in.

Man- I'm so conflicted about having a job again.

For as much as the structure and forced socializing is good for me and I need the money, I really do mourn the loss of personal time.

Really all I've done is just treat this kid like a person and give them some advice about college or dealing with family while respecting their autonomy.

Man- there is genuinely something wrong with how we treat kids in the US...

Stuff like this also makes it very easy for me to understand how easy it is for teenagers to be taking advantage of by predatory adults.

Really all you have to do is treat them like a person sometimes.

Genuinely- if kids had more autonomy for themselves it wouldn't be so much of an issue...

It's genuinely amazing how just treating a teenager like their own autonomous person with thoughts and feelings and life goals can immediately make you a safe adult in their eyes?

In related news- one of the 19-year-olds in a discord server I'm in has started trusting me enough to spam DM me memes

At least I have my Day One email. I don't think they would've sent me that if things weren't going through.

And I can't be the only one with issues. Especially since it sound like they're just rolling out these features.

Just UGH-

I've literally done multiple video calls with agents to verify these things. I submitted a face scan! I'm responding to messages as quickly as I can. And I still keep having it reset or something?

I'm being honest and punctual here and it's stressing me out so much!
