thinking about the old Iranian uncle in Bombay who told me like 15 years ago during a whole diff US-Iran conflict "let them come everyone who invades Iran either leaves or becomes Iranian" maybe uncle was onto something there
I agree with that point. But sometimes I think people take ādonāt impose it on each otherā as ādonāt ask, donāt tell, donāt talk about itā instead of āhow can we have a dialogue about our different beliefs and worldviews and learn from one another.ā
But mutual respect doesnāt come from shutting down any talk or expression of religionāand when that occurs, it can be just as repressive. A healthy secular society is one that fosters religious and spiritual plurality, rather than repressing practice and expression of religious faith.

All my besties are leftists, but leftists who make hating on religion their entire personality are annoying and ineffective af. You cannot organize people you have contempt for, and most people have religion. You will not annoy, pester, or troll them out of their beliefs ffs. Be better.
Throwback from December? Nope! We had a classic Vermont spring cold snap and snowstorm today. Everyone stayed cozy in their coats and snuggled in their beds though and it will melt off soon. āļøā¤ļøāŗļø

What a result: A Democratic-backed candidate has won the mayoral election in Waukesha, the biggest city in the notoriously conservative Waukesha County.
Alicia Halvensleben will be the next mayor. She defeated a GOP state lawmaker.

But given how Benny acts towards birds⦠the dogs probably deserve it.
Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.

In a sane world, in a world of accountability, the man who incited a deadly insurrection five years ago never would have been able to hold public office again. That reckless, abusive man needs to be removed from office. Now.
