Congrats to Ilona Andrews and a HUGE thank you to all the readers who made this possible ✨
I am going back into my 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘺 𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 and adding scenes. Why? So my readers get as much fun as I can possibly stuff into this thing. :) #writing
A stained glass panel depicting a large hare leaping through a meadow. Her waves of energy fill the starry sky with light and swallows.
‘She brings the summer’. Seems appropriate to post this as I saw our first swallows returning yesterday having seen a hare the day before!
Moment of Zen: Early morning ocean rolling against the cliffs, Depoe Bay, Oregon

If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
You are currently averaging over 10,000 calls per hour on 5 Calls (!!!) to demand your reps rein in Trump and his catastrophic threats. 🔥📞🔥
Oh my.
A single egg balanced on its end on the corner of an RV kitchen counter. It is surrounded by miscellaneous mugs, a coffee pot, and a Stanley thermos. Equinox egg challenge 2026? Success!

ICYMI: The federal government has backed down yet again – and we’ve successfully protected state energy programs that provide energy savings to Oregonians.
We've subsidised oil companies for decades as we "need" their products to run society, but now we dont, we need to use those same subsidies for heat pumps, EV's, solar panels, turbines, bio mass what ever else we can use to generate electric, it's only fair, we'd get to "net 0" real fast that way.
As we approach America's 250th birthday, now is a good time for this reminder:
One of our Founders, Thomas Paine, suggested we have a universal basic income for all people 21 and over, funded by a tax on landed wealth and property.
Sounds like a hell of a birthday gift, don't you think?
TROGDOOOOOOOOR!! Burninating the countryside!
Hahaha! I was out in the yard working with my phone in my pocket and just posted my first Bluesky butt dial. It was: 4PU.
Jeeze, butt, you gotta tell everyone how much I PU? I've been sweating all day. :)

I noticed there's a thread going around about authors not promoting enough. I definitely worry I talk about my books too much and rarely post. So let's change it up. I have a new book out!! My first cozy!! books2read.com/u/mKj1X5

Meanwhile in Oregon...💕
Tulips are SO bright after a long grey winter, it does help one understand that historical craze.
A 1% annual wealth tax on billionaires in Illinois would, by itself, balance the budget.
A 2% wealth tax on billionaires would pay for universal single payer healthcare for everyone in Illinois.
Tax the billionaires.
*whispers* So if a rich person gets the same free stuff as a poor person I don’t care bc at least the poor person is getting it
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
More context on this #Artemis II image:
* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right
* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:

I can't speak for other fields, but programming is headed for a future where the Morlocks eventually die off leaving a generation of Eloi who will be fine as long as the Second Law of Thermodynamics is wrong.

Maybe today is one of those days you could use a cozy little mystery. Here you go: books2read.com/u/mKj1X5
A cluster of sky-blue five-petal flowers with white centers on top of greenery with a mix of clover and other such things.
Baby Blue Eyes! We converted a strip of our yard into wildflowers last autumn--well, we planted the seeds--and now our first flowers are blooming! Can't wait to see what blooms next!
Same.
Heck to the yes!
I feel like there is a need to repeat this every now and then: I do not use AI for *anything*. All my writing is 100% my weirdo brain doing my weirdo thing and that will never change.
