lol amazing yes!! just for fun you should look up long billed curlews - this was one of the first shorebirds i could easily spot and ID when i first started birding

for birds close by that you’re trying to get a closer view of, try to stay quiet, calm and still and don’t point at them, especially songbirds! this can make them feel threatened if you’re nearby

oh and look out for eagles, hawks and falcons on the tops of telephone poles and tall trees!

If you have a body of water near you I’d highly recommend taking a stroll nearby! Even in the winter there’s usually at least a few species nearby. Agreed with others saying to look at local guides and Audubon society websites for birds to get to know!
