I believe it’s a female evening grosbeak looking over at me, resplendent in gold cap and a bit of gold on the tail as well. Sharp black and white wings with the body fading from black on the head to a peach color before the tail starts. Sitting on the neighbor’s seed tray, cedar tree in the background ☮️

The emerald glass frog (Espadarana prosoblepon, formerly Centrolenella prosoblepon) is one of nature's most extraordinary amphibians, named for the translucent skin on its underside that makes its beating heart and internal organs visible a living anatomy lesson! These tiny jewels of the rainforest rarely exceed an inch in length and are found in the cloud forests and humid lowlands of Central and South America. This particular little amphibian was photographed in Costa Rica.
