I've never been to Shetland, so added incentive for my Z to be Zetland 😊

I did even think of Zetland Park in Falkirk, but sadly the outdoor pool is long gone, and the paddling pool is now a rain garden!

Yes, I was thinking of Zetland and whether a swim anywhere on Shetland would count, as Zetland is the historic name for Shetland.
Or, Zennor in Cornwall - but not sure if any of the coastline here is accessible and swimmmable?
Or, the cheaty option of the lido at Ashby de la Zouch?

X and Z are the tricky ones. I've got multiple options for all the other letters 💦
