In 1871, Chinese immigrants were massacred in Los Angeles by a white-mob aided by police.

We did this also in Guatemala and the Philippines. Dr. Eugene Sanger performed radiation experiments on poor, black people in Cincinnati without them knowing. And in 1963, Jewish people in a Philadelphia institution were injected with cancer cells against their will.

After World War II, we hid Nazi war criminals in the United States to help build our nuclear program and anti-communist campaigns, literally erasing their crimes from records and letting them live as Americans.

This has always been the America to Hispanic Americans. Let us not forget that Spanish has been spoken here longer than English. The Texas Rangers were an organization made specifically to harass and terrorize Spanish-speaking communities in Texas. Lynching was their go-to enforcement tactic.

This has always been America to Black Americans. Look to the stories of Mary Turner, Henry Smith, Jesse Washington, Ota Benga. The Scottsboro Boys. The Groveland Four.

The Whipple Federal Building now being used to illegally detain people in Minneapolis is on the site of Fort Snelling, which did the same thing to Indigenous Americans in the 1860s.

This has always been America to the indigenous population here. Look to the Sand Creek Massacre, the Mendocino War, and the Bosque Redondo concentration camp.
