It's hard to believe but also comforting to know that the Wonder Boy(?) series ended on a high note over thirty years ago.

Is it hard? Sure, but the stages are short, and you get unlimited continues. The platform item makes impossible sections easy. When health or weapon energy is needed the game gives me unlimited easy enemies to grind.
My biggest enemy was my own impatience. (Suzies, turrets...) 😆
I DID IT!!! ✨
Mega Man (NES) is so fun!
I didn't Pause cheat during the Yellow Devil but I totally cheated on the final Wily boss. The hardest part for me was the final robot master gauntlet.
Also I didn't know Mega Man strips like Samus at the end of Metroid! 😆
That's cool! 😊 Is it USB, Bluetooth, or pressing the screen?
My friend and I enjoyed playing the Famicom game where Darth Vader turns into a scorpion. 😄

Rogue Squadron for Nintendo 64! It felt like playing an actual Star Wars movie! 🤩
My biggest disappointment as a kid was the Game Boy game. What a waste of $30. 😤
What's your favourite Star Wars game and why? Some answers will appear in the magazine.
Hey! VIDEO GAME COLLECTORS! Question for you...
💫Do you collect physical games because:
- You like physically owning your media
- You like to collect rare, valuable games
- They look great on your shelf and you love the nostalgia
- You're investing in games you'll eventually sell
- Another reason*
I did! I used it to skip a really hard room in Fire Man's stage. 😊
That's a great tip! I was just happy I can hurt those guys all the time and not ONLY when they're jumping like in the Game Boy games. 😅
I might post later if I need more tips... 👀
I grew up on the Game Boy Mega Man games and LOVED them, and Mega Man 2, 3, and 5 for NES. So this is a really neat look at a piece of history.

I fulfilled a decades-long dream and finally have my very own copy of MEGA MAN for #NES! 😊
And... it's so fun!
I made it to Dr. Wahwee, so it only gets harder from here!
Ok, you talked me into joining. 😌

Right! For example, the TCRF page for Burai Fighter Deluxe for Game Boy doesn't mention that the Japanese version has an entirely different final boss! And that the game runs at a different speed! 😄
Holy crap that was good. 🤩
@mattcurrie.bsky.social is this your amazing project? 😉
These patches allow you to use save states in #gameboy games, so you can have that functionality on more simple flashcarts such as the EverDrive GB X5. 🤯

I LOVED Link's Awakening for #gameboy.
...HATED the DX version for Game Boy Color.
...but by golly the Switch version is incredibly faithful to the original while adding an incredible amount of charm with the new look, it absolutely won me over.
It's THE reason I decided to get a Switch. 😊
Ormblok is soooo much fun!!!!!

Right! Brighter is better. 😊✨
A snap of GB DMG Street Fighter II's grid roster screen with 9 fighters in pixel portrait form and world flags above them. The U.S.S.R's is still present.
World Warriors in Pocket Sized Battles! Teeny tiny pixels working overtime to convey recognizable character in each combatant.

I played this version a ton in the 90s! 😊
We're finally getting an official rerelease of ZAS, the incredible shooter for #gameboy!!! 🤩

It was a fun read! 😊

"...but I took a chance and learned why it was a mistake..."
This is a great writeup that helped me understand why I can or can't get into certain games.
If a game isn't teaching me what to do right and what I did wrong I get so frustrated or bored! 🤔
Three paragraphs in and I scroll up to make sure I'm reading the review I thought In was reading. 🤔🤔🤔😉
